Alberto Antonio Addabbo

ADDABBO, Alberto Antonio - Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday January 25, 2024 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 90. Beloved husband of 62 years to the late Grazia (nee Fragnito) 2021. Cherished father of Antonina 'Toni' (Tom) Concolino and Rocco (Nancy) Addabbo. Loving Nonnino of Angelo (Kym) Concolino, Daniel (Tarisha) Concolino, Christian (Adriana) Concolino, Alyssa Addabbo (Zach De Concilys) and Breanna Addabbo.Adoring and proud great-grandfather to Stefen, Enzo, Julian, Ava, Benjamin and Isabella. Loving brother of Carmine (Grazia) Addabbo, Giuseppe Addabbo, Maria (Frank) Basilone and brother-in-law of Candida Menechella, Pellegrino Fragnito, Elena Fragnito. Predeceased by his parents Rocco and Grazia Addabbo, brothers Tonino and Donato Addabbo, sister Anna Addabbo, In-laws, Donatella Addabbo, Nicolina Fragnito, Mario Menechella, Ralph Fragnito and Cosimo (Concetta) Fragnito. Dearly loved and respected by many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. Alberto immigrated to Canada with his wife and daughter in December 1962. A jack of all trades in Italy, he settled on his passion of being a Barber and opened up Alberto's Barber Shop on Drummond Road which he operated from 1963 to 1999. He then continued to share his talents until 2003 when he retired but continued to offer his service in the makeshift barbershop in his garage (where his clients were able to receive a haircut and an espresso).  Alberto would see generations of clients over his career as he was the ultimate professional. He was proud of his two year military service that he completed in Italy. He was a devoted family man, his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy and every one of them received their first haircut from nonnino. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and was a fabulous cook, his specialty being Polenta. Dad taught us to always love each other unconditionally and to always be proud of our heritage. He leaves behind a rich legacy of love, laughter and passion for life. We thank him for that privilege and for filling our hearts with undying memories.   Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday, January 29, 2024 from 2 - 4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held at on Tuesday January 30, 2024 at 10:30 am at the funeral home. The Rite of Entombment will follow at Fairview Mausoleum, where he will be reunited with his loving wife.
