Anne Powers

POWERS, Anne - Passed away peacefully on Thursday October 17, 2019 at Queenston Place, Niagara Falls, at the age of 91. Dearly loved wife of the late Rod Powers and the late Ted Twocock. Treasured mother of Rick (Lydia), Randy (Yvonne), Marilyn and Ross (Kimberly). Beloved Nana of Tara (Jason), Shelby (Josh), Jon, Lisa, Aaron, Ritchie, Ben, Brad (Lindsay), Alex, Emily, Thomas (Tyra), Julia, Jaime, and so many wonderful great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Mary (Garnet), Bonnie (Charlie), Ollie (Peter), and the late Stella (Percy), Nellie (Sid), Helen (Frenchy), Alex and Michael (Aurora).  Anne was born on  July 8, 1928 in Niagara Township and lived in Niagara Falls for most of her life. She worked at Bell Canada in Operator Services from 1944 to 1984 as an operator, instructor and supervisor. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Anne’s family would like to thank the staff of Queenston Place for the excellent, compassionate care they provided in her later years.
