Annie "Anne" Hussey Wheeler

Our dear Mom has received her wish and was reunited with Dad on January 20, 2017, just before 10 p.m. Her first action, we’re sure, was to receive multiple good night kisses from Dad (Horace Wheeler) which she received regularly for 64 years. Mom’s favourite job was being a mom. She enjoyed church and its activities and involved herself in sewing, decorating cakes and admiring her family. Born in 1925 to Phoebe and Abraham Hussey, Mom was the last surviving member, being predeceased by her 5 brothers and 1 sister. Mom was blessed to have survived for the birth of her first great-grandson, Finley Simon, born to her first granddaughter. We’re sure she’ll be looking down fondly when “nugget” is born in a few weeks. Mom is survived by her 4 children; Paul (Teresa), Janet (Bruce) Wright, Valerie (Rod) Whidden, and Greg (Kim), her wonderful grandchildren; Mallory (Simon), Natalie (Adam), Eric, Doug (Maya), Julia, and Jake.

Mom will be resting at HETHERINGTON & DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL; 5176 Victoria Ave. (905-354-5614) where family and friends will be received on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Christ Church, 4750 Zimmerman Ave. (905-358-9712). Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
