Bernard Ivan Wintle

Peacefully at Greater Niagara General on July 19, 2014 at the age of 93. Survived by his loving wife Mary (nee Breach) of 61 years, and his children Carol (Dale) Crosbie, Shelley (Mike) Sorley & predeceased by his infant daughter Sharon Louise (1968). Beloved grandfather to Brent and Devin Crosbie, & Chris and Alex Sorley. Also survived by his siblings; Irene (the late Allan) Matheson, the late Gilbert (Serena) Wintle, Alice (the late Galen) Vance, Ansel (Marge) Wintle, Ernest (the late Phyllis) Wintle, Gerry (the late Betty) Wintle, Norman (Barbara) Wintle, Edward (Phyllis) Wintle.

Bernard retired from Nabisco after 32 yrs and was an avid gardener who loved roses and had a passion for fishing & wildlife. He enjoyed playing cribbage & euchre at the Coronation Centre, the Boat House, the Lions Happy Hour & the Knights of Columbus Hall.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Tuesday July 22nd from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday July 23rd at 11 am with cremation to follow.

Interment at Lundy's Lane Cemetery to be held at a later date.

Donations to the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
