

Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica on June 16, 1940, He joined his fiancé Una Levene, in the summer of 1970. He married the love of his life Una in 1972 and started a life of legacy and hope raising two beautiful daughters and later instrumental in raising three wonderful grandchildren.
When he migrated to Canada in 1970, he worked various jobs, including as an engineer for the Ontario Government and later as a very successful Real Estate agent and Mortgage Broker. He was a dedicated member of Brampton Seventh Day Adventist church and after relocating to Niagara Falls, he attended Niagara Falls Seventh Day Adventist Church. His free time was spent reading various texts and being a Mentor to those he loved.
Cecil Newman was predeceased, by his mother Inez Peterkin, daughter Camille, sisters, Gwendolyn, Hyacinth, Veta and Cynthia and brother Joseph.
Cecil leaves behind his loving wife, Una his cherished daughter Denise and three grandchildren: Ayana, Jahson and Jahreal, who were the pride and joy of his life. He also leaves behind friends, nieces, nephews, Sister In-law Hazel and Brother In-laws Rupert and Horace.
Cecil was very supportive of his grandchildren in the sports they played and in the education that they decided to pursue.
Cecil will be fondly remembered as a Man of God, respectful and devoted family man.
Cecil had a passion for education, sports and mentoring young lives. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and loved him.

A Visitation will be held at Patterson Funeral Home (6062 Main St., Niagara Falls, ON) on April 29, 2026, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. A Visitation will also take place at Brampton Seventh-day Adventist Church (37 Millstone Dr, Brampton, ON.), on April 30, 2026, from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. The Funeral Service will follow at the same location on April 30, 2026, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. A Committal Service will be held at Meadowvale Cemetery (7732 Mavis Rd, Brampton, ON) on April 30, 2026, at 1:45 pm
