Dear Bryan and Brenda and families

I am saddened by the loss of your father. The last time I  saw him he was waking  hand  and  hand,  ND they both gave me  warm greetings.  Your dad was a quiet man, and along  with your mom raised a family they were proud of. I can still remember the framed photo with the yellow bib overalls and some of the cool record albums to play on his Pioneer stereo in your your living room. He was very supportive of me when I was a groundskeeper at the City pools.

Our deepest condolences to the Snyder family. We have so many wonderful memories with Don over the years at the cottage, for gatherings at Barry and Sara’s pool, and many celebrations usually with a martini or two. He will be greatly missed.

Brenda and Bryan, my deepest condolences to you and your family. I fondly remember your mom and dad. Both wonderful people and dear friends of my parents. Keeping you in my thoughts.

Brenda, Bryan and families.  I am saddened to hear of your Dad’s passing.  I had the pleasure of knowing Don through working with your Mom.   He was a very kind and compassionate man.  My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

My sincere condolences to the family.  While I haven’t been in regular contact with Don since Rae’s death, I know he will be greatly missed.  I still remember fondly all the Christmas Eve family gatherings at Rae and Don’s with my parents.

To Brenda, Martin and the Snyder Family. I looked forward to seeing your dads smiling face every Sunday at the restaurant.My customers have a place in my heart and he will be missed.Hope to still see you two Brenda and Martin soon.

Please accept my deepest condolences on Don's passing. Our three day a week golf outings and coffee will be missed. Don was a true gentleman and one of the nicest people you could meet.

During our 55 year friendship we've spent many wonderful vacations together in Muskoka and Florida.  Don was quite an athlete.  He loved to waterski and swim in the summer,  and he loved to snowmobile and ski in the winter.  He was an avid and enthusiastic golfer.  He played both hockey and baseball, and was terrific at both.  Don was a great outdoors man, and was always ready for the next adventure.  He was a kind and gentle man, and he has left a hole in our lives and our hearts.  We take comfort in believing that he and Rae are together again.  We'll miss you, old friend. I worked with Don at the City of NF for several years and also played slo-pitch, hockey, and the odd round of golf with him. He was always pleasant, soft spoken and a pleasure to be around. Rest in peace, Don, you lived a good life!!!

To the Snyder Family I cannot tell you what a pleasure it was to have your father be my "driver" through the early days of the pandemic at Meals on Wheels. I volunteered when they were shorthanded for a few months when they were located at Heart Niagara. Don wanted to drive (with mask and gloves of course) and I was happy to be the runner. We talked on our rides on the Thursday deliveries. Your dad spoke often about his family and the joy he and your mother had in their 20 plus years volunteering.  He was always a dad and a true gentleman; one Thursday it was raining and he offered me his jacket from the back seat (always prepared) and I said no I was fine.  I returned from the residence we delivered to and he was out of the van under the awning with his rain coat open for me to slip my arms into...it really was raining hard and he would not take no for answer. 

And to Annie, Sarah and Bryan I had no idea that it was your dad and father-in-law.  Niagara is a small town should have known he and I would have more connections.  Rest in peace Don please add wonderful volunteers to your successes
