On Sunday, June 26, 2016, Edward Gilbert Tremblay was set free from the ravages of Huntington's disease and peacefully passed away at the Millennium Trail Manor in Niagara Falls. He was born December 18, 1958 in Sudbury to Jacques and Germaine (nee Deschenes) Tremblay and was well known for his humour which was one thing Huntington's did not take; as well he enjoyed his music. Edd has lived in Niagara, Ottawa and Qualicum BC. Edd had a number of renovation businesses and took pride in the carpentry. Shortly after returning from British Columbia he was diagnosed with HD but he remained independent, riding his bike for as long as he was able to.
Edd is survived by his son Teddy, brother Denis (Lynn) and his sister Linda Briggs. He will be greatly missed by his cousins; especially Florian and Ingrid; and his best friend Mike Faucher, and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Edd is predeceased by his parents; Jacques and Germaine, brother Jacques and his niece Michelle.
A celebration of Edward and to share memories will be held Saturday, July 30 at 2 PM at the home of his brother Denis - 60 First St., Welland. A Facebook event will be posted. In memory of Edd you are welcome to make donations to the Huntington's Society of Canada.
