Elizabeth "Bess" Ward

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mom, Elizabeth Anne “Bess Ward” née McLauchlan at the age of 88 years on Wednesday, September 3 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, Niagara Falls, ON. She was predeceased by her beloved Ted (1993). She is survived by her son, Drew Ward and his fiancé Erika Prince (and her son Michael), her daughter Karen and her husband Gil Owens of London, ON. Dear Grandma of her three grandchildren, David Ward, Lisa and her husband Rob Moreland and Brian Ward. Very proud Great Grandma of four boys, Brandon & Nathan Ward, Connor and Caleb Moreland. Our Mom lived a very active and full life to the end doing what she enjoyed with her family and large circle of friends.

As per her wishes, cremation has already taken place. Visitation at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls on Sunday Sep 7, 2014 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A L.O.S.N.A. service will take place at the funeral home at 1:45 p.m., a prayer vigil will be held at the funeral home at 3:30 p.m., and Eastern Star Service at 7 p.m. Mass at Sacred Heart Parish, 3882 Main Street, Chippawa (Niagara Falls) on Monday Sep 8 at 11:00 a.m. Private interment of ashes following Mass and reception at the parish. In lieu of flowers, Mom requested that donations be made to her favourite charity with cheques payable to “Shriners Hospital for Children”
