POTALIVO, Emilio - Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, at Juravinski Cancer Centre on Thursday September 18, 2014 at the age of 78. Beloved husband of 55 years to Giuliana (D'Ascenzo) Potalivo. Dearly loved father of Luana (Doug) Bell, Dino Potalivo, Robert Potalivo (Lindsay Weadick) and Tony (Julie) Potalivo. Cherished Grandpa of Tara (Ryan), Joshua and Tyler Bell, Katelyn, Jessica, Emily and Ashley Potalivo. Dear brother of Mary Gizzie, Mary Pizzicarola, John Potalivo, Michael (Laura) Potalivo and Jack (Mary) Potalivo. Loving son-in-law of Giuseppina Morrone. Dear brother-in-law of Marie Potalivo, Nick (Phyllis) and Elio (Nicoletta) D'Ascenzo and Teresa (Nicola) D'Aulerio. Lovingly remembered by his daughter-in-law Jackie, his many nieces and nephews and extended family and by his many good friends. Predeceased by his brother Dino Potalivo and his brothers-in-law Alex Gizzie and Benny Pizzicarola. Mr. Potalivo had been a longtime, active member of Club Italia and was an active volunteer to many charitable causes within the club. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 2:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mr. Potalivo donations to the G.N.G.H. One Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
