Fernando Berlingeri

BERLINGERI, Fernando - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday August 19, 2024 at the age of 94. Beloved husband of 61 years to Mary Laura (nee Silveri). Father to treasured sons, Tony (Sonia), and Bob (Anna). Loving and very proud grandfather of Alex (Emma), Sydney (Justin), Nicole, Lauren, Olivia. He will be fondly remembered by his siblings-in-law Vicky (Tom), Lucio (Antoinette), Marilyn. Fernando was one of 'The Three Amigos', along with Gino (Irma) and the late Dominic (Petrina). Cousin to Anne Marie (Rick) and Anthony (Erin). He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Antonio and Elisa (nee Giallonardo) Berlingeri and brothers-in-law Marcel and Sante. Fernando immigrated to Canada from Italy in 1949 and was a proud member of Order of Sons of Italy for many years. He will be remembered for all his hard work, including his work at Gerber Baby Food for over 40 years. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday August 23, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held Saturday August 24, 2024 at 1 pm at the funeral home, with the Rite of Committal to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
