Giuseppe "Joe" Panetta

It is with great sadness and heavy heart to announce that Giuseppe “Joe” Panetta passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday July 14th, 2012 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of 44 years to Lucia (nee Buzzi) Panetta. Dearly loved and devoted father of Adriano (Janeen), Fabrizio (Linda), Lawrence (Melise), Bronson and Tina. Cherished Nonna of Massimo, Alessia, Livia, Mira, Jack, Patricia & Celia. Dear brother of the late Antonio Panetta. Dear brother-in-law of Patrizia (Renzo) Degli Esposti, Vittoria (Fernando) Moretti and the late Umberto Buzzi. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Carmelo and Maria. Joe came to Canada with his childhood sweetheart Lucia in 1976. He coached soccer & was a foster parent for many many years. Joe was also an avid outdoorsman and shared his love of the outdoors with his sons. His children, grandchildren, foster children & kids he coached all say he left a big mark on their lives. He was a very special man and was loved dearly by all.

The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave. on Wednesday July 18th from 9-12:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 12:00pm in the Chapel, burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
