Very fond memories of Mr. Brown from my days at RCBHS. He was a wonderful Director of school plays, fabulous teacher and all around great person.  He had a profound impact on my life and was far and away my favourite teacher. My condolences.

The memories of Gord that I cherish are of a very vibrant, passionate teacher with a smile that could light up any room he entered. His sense of humour brightened many a day at RCBHS. He was a wonderful man, teacher and mentor. Rest in peace Gord.

Most teachers taught by telling  Gord taught by acting not only on the stage at RCBHS but also on the stage of life.  He was a man who loved life and his students.  It was a sincere privilege and learning experience to have spent so many years working with Gord in the Drama Club at Ridgeway.  Hundreds of students were impacted by this humble gentle man who made everyone feel important.  His quick wit and mischievous smile were just part of his legacy.  For years the halls of Ridgeway High School resonated with Gord's voice leading the entire cast and crew before every show with his enduring words, I can't lose and I'll tell you why, because I've got courage and determination.  Gord, my friend, your life made a difference to so many.

Mr Brown was a shining light and star. He was welcoming, uplifting, always ready to help you achieve your greatest potential and filled with laughter. I thank you Mr Brown for being forever etched in my heart, as my "stage dad" in Fiddler as well as an encouraging teacher from my wonderful days at RCBHS. You were greater than your sum, and may your family and friends always feel your continued presence and endless shenanigans. You left a legacy amongst so many. xx

Mr. Brown was dedicated to RCBHS as demonstrated by his attendance at the 100th anniversary celebration in 2009. He also used subtle humour to appeal to his students' sense of learning as per the following incident in about 1970: when three girls noisily made their way across the auditorium while he was speaking, Mr. Brown calmly waited for them to pass by before quietly uttering the following five words - "Act One, Scene One, MacBeth". Mr Brown was one of my favorite teachers!!! He wasn't just a teacher but he was a friend, RIP Mr Brown, you touched a lot of hearts

Mr. Brown was an amazing teacher who brought humour to the classroom, with humility and made the Drama Club a joy.  He made a profound difference in my life.

My memories of Gord as a fellow faculty member at Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School are the laughs that he brought to all of us in the staff room.  He lightened our day and brought much happiness to all who were lucky enough to know him.

Mr. Brown will remain one of the most enlightened and delightful teachers in the history of Ridgeway-Crystal Beach High School.  Endearing and innovative to his students and fellow faculty members, I'm sure he'll always occupy a special place in the hearts of all who were privileged to have known him.  My sincere condolences to all the family and Mr. Brown's closest friends and associates.

Uncle Gord was a great dad, a great father, a great teacher, a great ham as an actor: and everyone loved him for those qualities.  My first memories of him at the Henrietta were of his great wit and charm: quicker than anyone else with a joke and anxious to make everyone feel welcome. I was sorry to hear of the passing of my old friend Gord Brown.  His work in the Theatre at Ridgeway Crystal Beach High School will be remembered by many.  To me, he WAS Tevye.

Sending love to extended family in Niagara  falls. i can always remembre great Uncle Gord the fun times with family Get together. i will miss him.

A lovely man. I was privileged to attend Brown family functions in the sixties and Gordon was with whom us young folks could identify. . R. I. P. Gordon
