Has gone home to be with the Lord whom he loved and served for many years on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 in his 94th year. Loving husband of Lenora for 21 years; and, to his late wife May (1989). Sadly missed by his children Kathleen (Ken) McFarland, David (Parise) and Robert. He will also be lovingly remembered by Lenora’s children and their families. Grandpa to David (Denise), Kristen, Colin (Keltie), Marie-Christine, Sarah-Anne (Tristan), Jonathan, Jean- Philippe, Jeremie, and Benjamin; and, great grandpa to Finley. He is survived by his sister Violet Bend, and his brother John. Predeceased by his brothers Bert, Russell, and Harry. James will be deeply missed by everyone at Oakwood Gospel Hall.
Family and friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue on Friday, January 31 from 7 – 9 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Family Bible Hour or Missionary Service Committee would be appreciated.
