Unexpectedly and with family at his home in Niagara Falls on November 7th, 2017 at the age of
88. Predeceased by his loving wife Bernice (Oct. 2001). Sadly missed by his son Adam
(Cherie) Wilkinson. Beloved Papa to Aidan, Owen & Ella. Lovingly remembered by his sister Dorothy (Jack) Johnston & predeceased by his sister Marjorie (the late Harold) Crerar. Brother-in-law to Sheila (the late Michael) Howcroft and Adrienne (the late Wayne) McTaggart. Also remembered by many nieces & nephews. A special thank you to Debbie Jacklin & Moe Kuzyk, John's long-time neighbours, for their friendship and support over the years. John enjoyed his time working at Ontario Hydro for 32 years and shared fond memories of working as a backhoe operator and on the Niagara Queen icebreaker.
In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place.
The family will receive visitors at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls on Thurs. Nov. 16th, 2017 from 10-11am. A Celebration of John's Life will be held in the Chapel at 11am. Donations to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Cancer Society would be appreciated.
