Joseph Cyrus William Arsenault

A devoted husband, loving father, and cherished Papa, Joe hailed from Albany, Prince Edward Island. His kindness, strength, and gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Edmond Arsenault (1966) and Thelma Brown (2014); his sister, Anne Marie Evans (2023); and his beloved daughter, Diana McDermott (2024).

He leaves behind his loving wife, Barbara Arsenault; his brother, Gerald Arsenault; sister, Judy (Jim) Vickers; and brother-in-law, Brian Evans. He is also survived by his children: Jennifer Witt (Isaac), Amanda (Bill) Dzuima, Patricia (Jim) Elkins, Dawn Arsenault (Denis), and Sherryl Witt (Charles); son-in-law, Jack McDermott; and his adopted son, RJ Orr.

Joe’s legacy continues through his grandchildren: Sarah (Wayne) Yurkiw, Nicole Arsenault (Jeremy), Larissa Witt, Raebecca Lipson (Josh), Andrew Beauregard, Danielle Beauregard, Conor Elkins, and John Lipson; and through his great-grandchildren, Colter Arsenault and Adeline Anderson.

He will also be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, extended family, and countless friends.

Joe a retired GM tow motor driver had a deep love for the East Coast and all things PEI—from fresh seafood to stock car racing and WWE. Following cremation, he will make his final journey home to be laid to rest alongside his beloved mother and sister.

The world is a little dimmer without his light, but the warmth of his memory will forever brighten the hearts of those he leaves behind.

As per his wishes, no formal service will be held, and a celebration of life will take place at St. Patrick’s Hall, 4673 Victoria Avenue, Niagara Falls on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. to allow family and friends to gather and take comfort in each other and in his memory.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph’s name to the St. Catharines General Hospital Dialysis Unit.
