Marc Jasthine Aguas Arciga, 31 years young, passed away peacefully, leaving behind hearts that will forever carry his love, laughter, and light. He was born on October 30, 1994, in Roxas City, Capiz, Philippines—a place that shaped the beginnings of a life so beautifully lived.
Marc was the beloved eldest son of Roselyn Aguas Arciga and Gerardo Hegino Arciga, and a devoted and caring brother to Jarl Aguas Arciga. From an early age, he was known for his warmth and vibrant spirit. He grew up in Roxas City and attended Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz, where he formed lifelong friendships and nurtured a deep and abiding faith in God—one that guided him throughout his life.
He pursued Information Technology at Central Philippine University, where his determination and passion opened doors to meaningful opportunities. Marc later worked at Malacañang Palace with Open Data Philippines, where he not only excelled professionally but also built lasting friendships and left a mark as someone dependable, talented, and genuinely kind.
With remarkable courage and strength, Marc chose to begin again—moving across continents from the Philippines to Canada in search of growth and new dreams. At Niagara College, he continued building a life from the ground up, facing every challenge with resilience and hope. His journey was not easy, but it was deeply meaningful—a testament to his bravery and unwavering spirit.
Marc was deeply loved—not just by his family, but by the many communities he embraced along the way. The Filipino community, his colleagues, neighbors, and even the familiar faces in the shops and places he frequented all came to know and cherish him. In what felt like a short time, he created a lifetime of connections.
He had a heart that found joy in bringing people together. Marc absolutely loved hosting—preparing meals with care, opening his home, and creating moments that turned into cherished memories. He had a natural gift for making people feel seen, welcome, and happy. To know Marc was to laugh with him. He was the life of every gathering—the kind of person whose presence didn’t just light up a room, but filled it with warmth, laughter, and unforgettable energy.
His passing leaves a silence that cannot be filled, but also a love that will never fade. Marc will be remembered for his strength, his generosity, his deep faith, and the joy he gave so freely. The memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will continue to live on in all who knew him.
Though his time with us was far too short, Marc lived a life that was full, meaningful, and deeply impactful.
He leaves behind his loving family, cherished friends, and a community that will forever hold him close in their hearts.
