MARINELLI, Maria - It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, at her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday November 10, 2015 at the age of 81. Loving wife of 62 years to Pasquale Marinelli. Devoted mother of Dina (Tony) DeLellis and Cathy (Lou) Vescio. Cherished Nonna to Lucy (Mark) Walker, Stephen (Mary) DeLellis, Stefanie Vescio (Fiancé Frankie Anello), Andrea (Richard) Sherry and Michael Vescio. Precious Nunay to Maia, Ava and Bianca Walker and Rocco DeLellis. She will be sadly missed by her twin sister Anita Chiovitti of Niagara Falls and Adele Gravina of Ceprano, Italy. Dear sister-in-law of Assunta Marinelli and Luigi (Mary) Marinelli. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Arduino and Giacinta Vacca, her parents-in-law Giovanni Battista and Caterina Marinelli, her brothers Rocco (Bernarda) Vacca and Armando (Ida) Vacca, her sisters Carolina (Peppino) Palmieri and Teresa (Luigi) Sorge, her brothers-in-law Antonio Chiovitti, Giovanni Gravina, Giuseppe and Arduino Marinelli and her sister-in-law Teresa Marinelli. Maria was born in Ceprano, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1954. She had a special love for her family and enjoyed cooking many delicious homemade meals for them. She was also an avid gardener and was especially proud of her fig and lemon trees. Family and friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann's Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. Marinelli, donations to St. Ann's Church would be appreciated by her family.
