Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Valley Park Lodge on Monday, June 24, 2024. She was born January 1931 in London, Ontario to Winifred & Leo Stamp. She is predeceased by her parents and only sibling, a brother, Bob Stamp.
Marion is survived by her children Donald Paul (Nancy), Linda Freier (Kevin), Deborah Brown (Michael) and Lori Tyndall. She has 7 grandchildren and several great grandchildren in both Ontario and BC.
Marion worked as a waitress in her younger years and even did some freelance modeling for Eaton’s Department Store. Later she was employed as a custodian with DSBN where she worked until her retirement. Soon after she decided she still had a desire to work and spent several years as a school crossing guard at various intersections in Niagara Falls and she enjoyed this very much.
Marion spent her last 9 years as a resident at Valley Park Lodge where she fervently occupied “her spot” at the entrance to the home. Marion’s family is grateful to the staff at Valley Park for their kindness and loving care in Marion’s final years. They have given above and beyond and will be remembered for this. We would also like to thank Marion’s PSW and friend, Sue Woodward, for her willingness to visit and encourage her every week. You were a special friend to Marion for many years
Funeral service will be held in the chapel at Hetherington & Deans on Tuesday, July 16,2023. Visitation at 1:30 pm with service at 2pm, immediately followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls.
