FAIRWAY, Paula Marie (nee McNeil) - Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday March 28, 2025 at the age of 65. Beloved wife of 30 years to Barry and devoted mother of Cali (Wesley) Prokopchuk and Kyle (Trinity) Fairway. Cherished grandmother 'Nanny' of Benjamin. Loving sister of Mike (Michelle) McNeil, Gerald (Lu) McNeil, Bill (Joan) McNeil, John (Ferne) McNeil, Dan (Nancy) McNeil, Phil (Paula) McNeil, David McNeil, Tony (Wendy) McNeil, Debbie (Roy) Stewart, Sandra McNeil and sister-in-law of Bev McNeil. Paula will be lovingly remembered by over 100 nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Cecilia (nee Boudreau) McNeil, brother Joe McNeil and sister Rose McNeil as well as her mother and father-in-law Stephen and Patricia Fairway.
Paula was often described as kind, gentle, warm and understanding. She welcomed anyone for a chat and would offer a shoulder to lean on to anyone who needed it. Paula had a contagious laugh with a smile that would light up an entire room. She held many positions in her life with a tremendous work ethic that was admired by many. Though the positions she held with the most pride and devotion were wife, mother and nanny. She never hesitated to show off her children and grandson to anyone she could. Growing up in Halifax, Nova Scotia Paula had a tremendous love for the east coast and the ocean. She loved to spend her free time looking through photos of those she loved the most, watching as many movies as possible; even if she had no idea what they were about, always with a tea in hand and her beloved pets at her side. Time spent with loved ones was her favourite place to be. She demonstrated strength and grace through every challenge and always tried to find the good in any situation. She was the epitome of love.
Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Thursday April 3 2025 from 7 to 9 pm. A graveside service will take place on Friday April 4 2025 at 1 pm at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Paula memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Foundation of Canada, (Niagara Chapter), and would be appreciated. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
