MULLEY, Ray - Passed away unexpectantly at his residence on Sunday July 27, 2025 at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Velia "Nancy" (nee Perri) with whom they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary together. Cherished father of Kevin Mulley, Colleen (Michael) Morrison, Paul Mulley (Michelle Armstrong) and Shannen (Justin) McManamon. Loving and devoted grandfather of Desseray and Daisy Mulley, Heather and Amanda Morrison, Julian Mulley, Jaxen and Jayla McManamon. He will be deeply missed by his brother Dale (Tessie) Villeneuve and his aunt Gladys Allison. Ray is survived by his in-laws Rose Perri, Pat Perri, Lou (Carol) Perri as well as many nieces nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his parents William and Lillian (nee Villeneuve) Mulley and brother-in-law Joe Perri. Ray was a remarkably accomplished man whose talents and passions will leave a lasting impression across many fields. As both an artist and author, he dedicated years to creating "Teammates on Ice", a heartfelt hockey book that stands as a testament to his love, understanding and appreciation of the game that made him a hockey historian. His artwork graced the pages of numerous magazines, most notably the Gene Autry Magazine. Beyond the arts, he was a gifted athlete, a competitive power lifter. He shared his artistic talent by teaching art at the YMCA. His creative vision afforded him a career as the advertising manager for Rosbergs Department Store, and as a consultant for many magazines and the Niagara regional newspapers that won him many awards and honours. He was also an eloquent public speaker, a respected contributor to the Hockey Hall of Fame, and a man of intelligence and integrity. But more than all his impressive achievements, what truly defined him was his heart. He was kind, respectful, polite and elegant, a true old soul with timeless values. Above all he cherished his family and adored his wife. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Friday August 1, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 6 pm to 8 pm. Cremation will follow. Interment will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart Niagara and would be appreciated by his family.
