Passed away at the age of 55. Surrounded by his family after a brief illness at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday, October 4, 2010. Ricky has gone to be with his late mother Kathleen. He is survived by his dad Fernand. Sadly missed by his daughter Robin Poitras (Rob Neill), and by his grandchildren Austin and Tia. Beloved brother of Jane Nelson and husband Brian, and Starr Brideau. Fondly remembered by his nieces Lori, Sheri, Janie, Charity, Julie & Shaunine, his nephew Rael, and by their spouses. He’ll be missed by his canine furry best friends Buddy & Katie, and by his Aunts, Uncles, extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at HETHERINGTON AND DEANS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 5176 Victoria Ave. Niagara Falls on Friday October 8th, 2010 at 11 o’clock a.m. with visiting beginning 2 hours prior. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to The Walker Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family, or the family will accept charitable donations at the funeral home.
