Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Anna Marie Jamieson. He will be lovingly remembered by his son Robert Jamieson (Tammy) and his daughter Tammy Sanlon (Tim). Cherished grandfather to Michelle Sanlon and Diana Kamminga (Ben). He is predeceased by his brothers Jim and Patrick. He will be greatly missed by many friends and extended family.
Bob was born June 8, 1937 in Chippawa, Ontario to George and Muriel Jamieson. He spent many of his younger years outdoors, exploring, hunting rabbits and squirrels, and fishing.
For most of his career, Bob was a Key Inspector with General Motors. This is where he met Anna Marie in 1962, proposing on their second date, and marrying in 1963. Bob and Anna enjoyed travelling to Las Vegas and visiting the casinos. After Bobby and Tammy were born they enjoyed taking family trips out East. After an early retirement, Bob owned racehorses and enjoyed watching the races at the Fort Erie Race Track. One of his biggest passions was fishing and making his own tackle; he loved going on fishing trips with friends.
Without a doubt, Bob will be remembered for his amazing memory, he never met a person whose name he didn't remember.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. A visitation will take place at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 12-1 p.m. and a memorial service will begin at 1 p.m. Due to current Covid19 restrictions, please call the funeral home 905-354-5614 to reserve a spot. The family would like to extend their thanks to Dr. Levesque at the Walker Family Cancer Centre. They would also like to thank the palliative care team from St. Elizabeth Healthcare for giving Bob comfort and compassion in his final days. In Bob's memory, donations to the Walker Family Cancer Centre would be greatly appreciated.
