Robert 'John' Shores

SHORES, Robert 'John' - Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Hospice Niagara on Saturday December 31, 2016 at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Jane for 45 years. Loving father of Rob (Melanie) Shores of Niagara Falls and Nicole Shores of Mississauga. Cherished grandfather of Benjamin. He will be fondly remembered by his sister Juanita Shores. He will be sadly missed by his faithful dog Casey. Predeceased by his parents Fred and Louise Shores and his brother William. John retired after 30 years working at Suncor and was a member of Stamford Lane United Church. Special thanks to Dr. Philip Hughes, Barbara and the staff from the Walker Family Cancer Centre, C.C.A.C. and Hospice Niagara for the kindness and care shown to John during this past year. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Wednesday from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. A Funeral Service in celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. In memory of John, memorial contributions may be made to The ONE Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre) or Stamford Lane United Church, and would be appreciated by his family.
