Robert Wallace Douglas Sr.

DOUGLAS, Robert Wallace Sr. - Passed away peacefully on Sunday April 10, 2016.  He and his beloved Irene (neé Kyyriainen) spent 62 years together raising a family, several dogs, the odd cat and a budgie or two.  When time allowed, they traveled to various destinations around the world, with their 50th anniversary in Malta among their most cherished memories.  A long and happy history of family camping trips (with the exception of an ill-advised stop at Frosty's) culminated in Bob and Irene's crisscrossing the continent in a motorhome named Minnie that was adorned with their signature BOBNI license plate.  They were inseparable until Irene's sudden passing in 2014.  Bob was a long-time employee of the Canadian Niagara Power Company and founder of its retirement association.  He was also a founding member of the (then) Cataract Gun Club and was a well known firearms collector.  He will be greatly missed by his children; Rob (Anna), Lisa (Trevor) and Richard (Kim) and grandchildren; Shiela, Tristan, Robyn and Edward.  BOBNI semper et in aeternum (always and forever).
