My sincere condolences for your loss.  I will always remember Rosa, sitting in the dining area with my mom,  with a big smile on her face and telling stories in Italian.  Although most didn’t understand what she was saying they were all mesmerized by her animated and excited telling and nodding along.  She was a great storyteller.  I loved listening to her recount these stories of her younger days. Gone but forever in our hearts. Rest in peace.

Dear Mom , 
Words cannot express my gratitude and thankfulness I feel in calling you my mother . 
You taught me everything I know . To always see the good even in the bad , keep my head high inspite of low times , put my family first . 
Dementia robbed me from my mother a long time ago . I couldn’t call you when I needed my best friend to cry in your arms or simply call you for a traditional recipe I would make to keep the Italian , savoury traditions . With perseverance I continued making everything you made to keep my family proud and you alive ! The approvals for taste bringing you these treats in your nursing home were beautiful . Sharing with your Italian neighbours also , brought them tears of joy . After all Italians always have more than enough .,
After 50 years I finally had the privilege of tracing all your footsteps in Gimigliano , Calabria , Italy . Hearing your stories resonating in my head of what you left behind . What a beautiful vista ! Encountering , more family while searching for the house you and dad lived in and where I was born ..The vivid memories of you united with your husband and leaving those behind for a better life in Canada .,
The grand woman of valour was described as you , my mother . The best daughter and daughter in law and sister to 3 brothers you loved dearly . 
This is ALL about you , for you Mamma . You deserve now to rest , sing , dance and laugh with all your beloved family . Most importantly , your longing husband Angelantonio who has waited for you , calling for you since , 2011 . And , your most recent loving son , Masino . He’s elated to be able to hold you again . He’s my beloved brother , Tom who brought home a “real” Christmas tree into our Italian home . I will eternally be grateful !  Stay close and love hard xo ! TIL we meet again . Pina ( P) Jos ❤️

My mother-in-law ,Rosa, was a gift to all of my family. She was the shining star that always gave us wonderful meals and shared stories of her childhood in Italy.She was very proud of her family.And we love her! I had the pleasure of knowing and working with Rosa for many years at the Niagara Parks Commission.  Rosa had a beautiful smile and personality that just made you want to stop and chat with her.
Rosa was a treasure of a lady.

Jos we met so many years ago in a baby talk class with our firstborn. - our path beginning as we strolled our babies together. Thirty years later we found ourselves once again connected, this time strolling side by side with your mom my father  in their wheelchairs. 

It was a special path intertwined with strength and support for one another . God truly works in mysterious ways. 
Grateful that we were able to stroll together..

Your mom was so devoted to your family and when she needed you most,you were devoted to her care with such love. I loved her zest for life and the way she just loved everyone she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
