Shawn Douglas Slade

Shawn will be forever cherished in the hearts of his loving mother, sister, brother, sister in law and his precious daughter. Deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A beloved son, brother, father, uncle, brother in law, nephew, cousin, and friend.

Shawn was a creative soul who brought his unique energy to everything he did. He found joy in drawing and carving, and he loved anime, cooking, gaming, heavy metal and Nickelback too. A true Leo at heart, he loved lions and carried their strength and spirit within him. His favourite colour was red, bold and full of life, just like he was. Though Shawn faced challenges in his life, he met them with courage and self awareness. He was open about his struggles and was taking steps to find the support he needed. His honesty and willingness to seek help were marks of his strength, not weakness, and a reminder of his deep love for those closest to him. Shawn's fierce spirit has left an imprint that will never fade.

Rest peacefully and may your light forever shine in those who love you.

Shawn’s family warmly invites relatives and friends to a gathering in celebration his life on what would have been his 32nd birthday. Please join us on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Niagara Room at the Americana Conference Resort, 8444 Lundy's Lane, Niagara Falls.
