Peacefully on Wednesday, February 17, 2010, at the Meadows of Dorchester, at the age of 84. Beloved wife of the late Roy. Loving mother of Josie Johnson (Fred Meredith), and Carole Modell of Las Vagas, Nevada. Cherished grandma of Christine Rittenhouse (Rose), Shannon Rittenhouse (Chris), Myranda Russell (Liam), Jerry, Susan and Steven Alcorn. Dear great grandma of Nicholas, Talon, Pyper, Dylan, Haley, Brayden, Deanna and Steven. Predeceased by two sisters; Iris and Helen and one brother; Bert.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Avenue, on Tuesday from 12-1 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 1 p.m. Private family interment will take place this spring in Fairview Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to either Meadows of Dorchester or to the Humane Society.
