

Wally (Jack Wallace Scott) passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Oakwood Park Lodge with his wife holding his hand. He is survived by his wife Blanche Sawyer of 31 years, brother Al (Lorrie) Scott,, step-brother Garth (Maureen) Tustin, step-sister Val (Gary) Kosinsky, step-daughter Yvonne (Drew) Peloquin, step-son Tom (Darrah) Sawyer, step-grandchildren; Jessica and Mathew Peloquin, and Hannah and Geoffrey Sawyer, niece Kelly and nephew Kevin, step-nieces and nephews; Kyle and Sara Tustin, and Christy and Gary Kosinsky. Predeceased by his mother Lucy Scott-Tustin, father Jack Scott and step-father John Tustin. He will be sadly missed by his faithful and beloved cat Tiffany.
Wally piloted yachts transiting through the St. Lawrence Seaway for many years and had his Captain’s license to operate the pilot boat at Port Weller to transport Pilots to incoming and outgoing ships in the Welland Canal.
A very heartfelt thank you to the CCAC team for the time and care they extended to Wally before he moved to Oakwood Park Lodge. A tremendous thanks to all the staff at Oakwood Park Lodge, especially the nurses, PSW’s, the dining room staff, the maintenance staff and the residents for their care, compassion and friendship during his stay there. Special thanks to Hetherington & Deans Funeral Home for the compassion and caring shown to me, to Holly for helping me through the difficult process and paperwork, to Erin for her assistance, and to all the staff who provided me with quality time to say my goodbyes to Wally. A special thanks also to Garth Tustin for helping me through this difficult time, for being there to support me and guide me through the process.
