Winnifred "Winnie" Murphy

MURPHY, Winnifred "Winnie" (nee Hunter) - Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Wednesday August 7, 2013 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Kerry Murphy. Dearly loved mother of Maureen Murphy (Rick Leblanc), Neil Murphy, the late Michael Murphy and the late Kathy Murphy. Cherished grandmother of James, Jason, Jessica, Jasmine and Michael and great-grandmother of Caden, Keyaira, Sierra, Heather and Hunter. Dear sister of Mary Leskiw and Helen Rous. Predeceased by her brother William Hunter and his wife Vera, sisters Mildred Leeson and her husband Bob, Doris Kennedy and her husband Gord, Kathleen Nichols, and her brothers-in-law Ed Leskiw and Herb Rous. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral service in celebration of her life will be held on Monday at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mrs. Murphy, donations to the Walker Family Regional Cancer Centre would be appreciated by her family.
