Zoey Dalzell

In spite of the skill and determination of the finest First Responders and Niagara Regional Police, as well as the Niagara General Hospital and McMaster Children's Hospital, Zoey Judith Lynn Dalzell passed away on July 20, 2016.

Zoey had recently celebrated her first birthday with her meddling and loving four year old brother, Zane. If he could, Zane would thank the people at McMaster for their guidance and help in understanding all the changes that are happening around him. Not knowing why he is feeling this way, he has had a lot of loving support from all of the people mentioned.

Grieving parents Rebekah Hookings and Christopher Dalzell are seeking to cope with the sudden loss of such a great gift that Zoey was to them. The love and joy that Zoey experienced in her short time has not been lessened with her passing, but her presence, her smiles, and her curiosity is sadly missed by Mom and Dad.

Supporting Zoey's family in their time of grieving are the members of Rebekah's family, including Grandma Sherri, Aunts Melissa (Thomas) and Amanda (Julie). Rebekah hopes that Zoey can walk hand in hand with her late father Peter Dalke (1966 - 2008). Zoey's great grandmother Susan and great grandfather Donald have always been a place of gathering and support for all members of the family.

The members of Christopher's family are Zoey's grandparents Tom and Christine Racey, Aunt Amie (Dennis) along with her children Kailee, Joey, and Jacob, and their father Mike (Jen) have all rushed to the needs of Zoey's family and offered their love and support as they walk through this. Uncle Matt has also come to help Zoey's parents in their time of need.

All members of Zoey's family feel the great loss as Zoey added a great light to our lives. Zoey enriched the lives of all she met and left with a tilt of her head and a smile. Saddened and missed by everyone, please join us to say "Goodbye". We will all gather together and hope friends will join us at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, 5176 Victoria Ave., Niagara Falls, Ontario, for a gathering and goodbyes on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 from 10 am until 12 pm, with service following in the chapel at 12 pm.
