Niantic-Barbara Pyer Doubleday, 74, of Niantic, CT, passed away at Bridebrook Nursing Home surrounded by her family on February 14, 2013. Born December 11, 1938 in White River Junction, VT, the daughter of Ressie and Carol Pyer Sr. Barbara was a devoted mother and grand mother and is survived by her son Eric Monteith and his 2 children Dylan and Sage of Ventura CA, her daughter Vicki Oliver and her husband Mark of Niantic CT, and her son David Montieth, his wife Mary and their 2 children Tyler and Ian of Chaska, MN. Survived by brother Walter Pyer of West Lebanon, NH and sister Gwen Olander of Westbrook, CT. Prececed by her brothers Carol Pyer Jr, Bob Pyer, Stanley Pyer, Earl Pyer and sister Gloria Dupont.
