Corey Murphy Hunt

Corey Murphy Hunt, age 24, died tragically and unexpectedly on Friday, March 7, 2014. He was the son of Jill Hunt and Peter Hunt, both of Waterford. Corey was a 2007 graduate of Waterford High School and attended Three Rivers College in Norwich, where he was studying nursing.

Corey enjoyed music, outdoor activities, travel and spending times with friends, especially at Ocean Beach or on vacations. He also had an easy going personality and made friends where ever he went. Corey was very inquisitive and learned new things every day.

Besides his parents, he is survived by 3 brothers, Austin and Jesse of Waterford and Justin of Salem and his beloved grandmother, Pat Murphy, also of Waterford. He also leaves numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A service of remembrance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12th at 4:30 at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 19 Jay Street, New London, CT. There are no calling hours, and a private burial will be held at a later date. Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, Niantic, is handling the arrangements.
