Robert James Von Ins

He was born on April 3, 1981, in Tacoma, WA, the son of Martin Von Ins of East Lyme and the late Cathy Streur Von Ins.

Robert graduated from East Lyme High School and from Lincoln College Culinary School in Hartford where he graduated in the top of his class. He loved the outdoors, and he loved to play guitar.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his grandmother Maisie J. Warren of East Lyme; his siblings James Lee Von Ins of Muskegon, MI, Stephen W. Zych of NJ, and Jenny Lynn Von Ins of Saugatuck, MI; his Aunt and Uncle Linda and Jim Shields of East Lyme and his Aunt and Uncle Jenny Von Ins-Kommit and Dr. Jeffrey Kommit of Spring Lake, MI; his nephews Bradlee and Brandon; his cousins Caitlyn Turner of Asheville, NC, Mandy Bonano and Krista Shields, both of Waterford; his best friend Zach Barber and his wife Whitney; his dogs Bailey and Iris. In addition to his mother he was predeceased by his infant sister Sonia Von Ins and his dog Lily.
