Jesus opened the gates of heaven and called his faithful servant Alice Mae Poche Dupuy home on November 26, 2023 at the age of 102. She was born on May 4, 1921, in Belmont, LA and resided in Norco, LA for over 70 years. Alice is survived by one son, Thomas Dupuy Sr. (Jodie) of Laplace, LA, two daughters, Brenda Foret (Kenneth “Wop” Sr.) of Lutcher, LA and Faye Scioneaux of Laplace, LA, and two sisters, Verna Weaver of Destrehan, LA and Barbara Stein of Gonzales, LA. Also surviving Alice are 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dewey “Frenchy” Dupuy, her parents, Robert and Ludivine Poche, four brothers, Whitney Poche, Earl Poche, Clay Poche, and Ned Poche, two sisters, Lola Triche and Hazel Roussel, and her grandson, Thomas Dupuy Jr.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service on Monday, December 4, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2130 Rectory St, Paulina, LA. Visitation will be held from 10AM – 12PM with a Mass of Christian Burial to begin at 12PM. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
