Edwin Luke Robert, Jr. “Sonny” passed away February 7, 2025, at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Mary M. Robert. Brother of Loretta Colomb (the late Donald, Sr.) and Charles Robert, Sr. (the late Regina). He is survived by his godchild, Donald Colomb, Jr., (Debra) nieces and nephews, Scott Colomb (Teri), Michael Robert (Lacey), Mario Randazzo (Adreana), Jessica Brevelle (Brad), Charles Robert, Jr., Mandy Shires (Clay), and Justin Morgan (Brittney) and 11 great nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law, Alice Baker (Frank). He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Luke Robert, Sr. and Velma Bernard Robert.
Sonny was very family oriented and loved all his nieces and nephews very much. He enjoyed woodworking and was a master mechanic. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t fix. He was known as “Sonny the Great” and faced every obstacle head on. He will be truly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 17, 2025, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Ama, LA beginning at 9:30AM. Mass will begin at 11AM with burial to follow at St. Charles Cemetery in Luling.
