Uncle George, 

You will be missed very much by all of PaPa's children, their children and their children's children. There are many of us and each of us has loved you dearly through the years!  

You have been a constant in our lives with many different stories to be told. I have a special story of you that I think of often!  You were my mentor when I was a teenager, in particular, when I was playing in Pool Tournaments at Two Profs.  You gave me advice on how to play, and even let me use your pool cue.  

I have a pool table in my house, and the story of your mentoring me has been told many times. This story will live on, just as the love you have always shown to each of us will.

We love you now and Always,

Wanda...met him once at June's house when Mr. Elfer died.  Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and send prayers for your peace and comfort knowing "Ba Ba" is in the Hands of God. This message is from Una, Andree's Aunt (Dave's Sister)....

To Mr. Landry,â€“

Oh, Mr. Landry, we miss you so much!  For the past 14 years, we have looked out our back door and saw you sitting on your patio.  The emptiness we feel when we look over at your house is overwhelming. 

Ron never felt like he was working alone in his shop.  He always felt like you were working right along side of him, a guardian angel looking over him.  When Ron would start a new project, he would always say, â€œI better go walk over and let Mr. Landry know what I am working on!â€  He loved sharing his ideas and backyard projects with you.  

Thank you for sharing your faith with us.  Thank you for sharing your devotion to the Catholic Church.  Thank you for sharing your love of reading your daily scriptures with us and for sharing the rosary with us.  The black prayer book that you received 68 years ago, when you were only 19 years old, that you still carried with you and shared with us is such a treasure and a testament to your faith.  The very same prayers in that prayer book are the same prayers we say today, almost 70 years later.  

Thank you for showing us your dedication thru all your civic organizations.  Your joy in participating in monthly meetings and being part of a group teach us a lot.   

Thank you for all the beautiful flowers in your yard.  Not only were they a beautiful setting for many photos of Joshua and Jacob, they were simply beautiful to look at from my yard.    

Most of all, Mr. Landry, Thank you for loving Joshua and Jacob like your very own grandchildren.  I don't think a week went by when you did not have a bag of cookies for each of them.  Jacob loved going to your house and getting his treats!  My boys loved riding around the neighborhood on your scooter.  Your kindness and generosity and love for them are memories that I will cherish forever.  

During the past week, I looked out my back door many times.  I could feel the presence of your guardian angels  watching over you, waiting to guide and lead you home to everlasting life with God our Father.  Hours before you were called home, when I was saying my final goodbye's to you, you squeezed my hand, looked at me briefly with your crystal blue eyes & smiled and we shared a prayer.  It's so beautiful to know that we were hand in hand, and in just a few short hours, the very hand that I held was hand in hand with the Lord.  The bible tells us that, "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord".  Without a doubt, I know that you are present with the Lord.  

We never had the honor of calling you â€œPaw Pawâ€ but we had the privilege of calling you neighbor and friend.  Mr. Landry, you have left an impression on our heart that will live on forever.  Your voice may have only been slightly higher than a whisper, but you spoke volumes to our heart.  Mr. Landry, we love you and will miss you dearly.  Our back yard simply will never be the same.
