

John Henry Estes, Sr., a longtime resident of St. Charles Parish, passed away September 11, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Deborah Hebert Estes, his children; Tiffany Estes Bouler (Chip) and Amy Estes Tyler (Bradley), his grandchildren; Kassie Schoener, Jacob Bouler, Harley Estes, Kaylee Forrest, and John Henry Estes III, and one great grandchild, Brentleigh Scott. He is also survived by his sisters; Michelle Estes Tumminello Harris and Darlene Estes Wise and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.
He is preceded in death by his son, John Henry Estes, Jr., and his parents, Forsee “Jack” Estes and Lena Mae Treadaway Estes.
John was an avid Saints fan who loved the outdoors, especially fishing and playing golf. He served as an usher for St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He worked for almost 40 years for Gnots Reserve Incorporated, the business his father started in 1967.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan, LA on Thursday, September 17, 2015 beginning at 9:30 AM until the time of Mass at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the St. Charles Borromeo Building Fund or the Thomas/McMahan Cancer Foundation.
