John Joseph Roy, age 52, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on December 5, 2018. He was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Harold Roy, Sr., and Barbara Kokemor Roy. He is preceded in death by his step-father, Elmore Faulstich, and step-brother, Samuel DeMarco. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Ruiz Roy, brother, Harold Roy, Jr., sisters, Sylvia Roy McBride, Lisa Roy Jones, and Patricia Roy. He is also survived by his step-brother Richard DeMarco, step-sisters, Edna Doby, Liz Powers, and Rose Owens, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.
For those of you that knew him, knew that he was a great, humble, and devoted man. He loved his wife and family more than anything. He was a hardworking man, who worked tirelessly around the clock.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at the Celebration Church in LaPlace, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:30 AM with services starting at 12 PM. Condolences may be left for the family at www.HCAlexander.com.
