Loretta Rousselle Simon

Loretta Rousselle Simon, age 82, passed away February 21, 2017. She is survived by her children Chipper Simon (Peggy), Linda Famularo (Kerry), Glenda Simon, Susan Lowry (Johnny), David Simon (Karla), Paul Simon (Kathleen), and Sharon Nicosia (Jeff). Grandchildren, Kelli, Stacey, Jason, Jaime, Robbi, Vali, Brett, Kerry, Scott, Katie V, Trey, Aimee, Katie C, Sarah and 21 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Charles “Buddy” Simon, her parents Adam and Amanda Champagne Rousselle, and siblings, Shirley Gaudin, Charles Rousselle, and Vera Haydel.

Loretta retired from the Archdiocese of New Orleans and loved traveling, playing Bridge and making rosaries for service men and missions. She was a creative person and enjoyed painting and making jewelry. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA on Friday, February 24, 2017 beginning at 9:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM, interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery in Destrehan, LA. Condolences may be expressed at www.HCAlexanderFuneralHome.com.
