Noelie Poche Bourgeois, age 98, beloved wife of the late Earle Bourgeois, a native of Paulina and longtime resident of Good Hope and Norco, passed away in Independence on Sunday, November15; daughter of the late Ledoux Poche and Emilie Brignac; mother of Judith Casey and the late Msgr. Joseph Bourgeois; mother-in-law of Thomas Casey; Grandmother of Daphne Gardner (David), Denise Naquin (Michael), Laurie Bivalacqua (Nathan), Beth Casey, Kathleen Tucker (Michael), Timothy Casey (Susan), Sean Casey (Rachel), Christopher Casey (Jan) and Jenny LeRay (Scott); great grandmother of 27, and great great grandmother of 3; Sister of Earl Poche and her predeceased siblings Alvin Poche, Mildred Marino, Yolande Barre, Lester Poche, Sophie Anselmo and Oscar Poche. A dedicated parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Norco, she taught catechism for 50 years and, along with her husband, received the St. Louis Medal. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 am from the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco. Burial was held at the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery following a private funeral with Fr. Msgr.
