Richard "Black" Durapau Sr.

Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Dorothy “Dot” Durapau. Survived by three daughters; Donna Benoit(Jerry), Debby Durapau(Issac New) and Lisa Durapau(Manuel Bautista) and two sons; Richard “Rap” Durapau, Jr.(Danelle) and Dennis Durapau, Sr.(Sheila). He is survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one on the way and one great-great granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister Virginia Durapau Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Marcel and Marceline Durapau, Granddaughter Kassie Lynn Federer, great-granddaughter Samantha Kaye Benoit., brothers: Marcel Jr., Robert Sr., Walter, Charles, Paul Sr. and sisters: Nora Durapau Daigle, Marguerite Durapau Lauland and Marie Durapau Parks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a night wake at H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth St. Norco, La on Friday, September 27, 2013 from 6-10 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 8-9AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Destrehan at 9:30 AM. Interment will take place at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum.
