Rickey James Ockman

Rickey James Ockman of Hahnville, LA lost his battle with cancer on January 18, 2026, at the age of 70, with his loving family by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford P. Ockman and Mary Muller Ockman. He is survived by his beloved daughter, Miranda Ockman Randazzo and her fiancé, Jeremy. Brothers, Butch (Lisa) and Edmond

(Mary Lee) Ockman, and sister, Cynthia Ockman Hymel (the late Davis). Grandfather of Mario Randazzo, Jr. (Kat) and step granddaughter, Sarah Nicholas. Godfather of Brant Ockman and Ryan Hymel.

Rickey was born April 30, 1955, in Luling, LA. He graduated from Hahnville high School and retired from Mosaic as a Granulation Shift Supervisor. He kept a close relationship with his siblings, who, along with his daughter, took care of him during his illness.

He and his two brothers enjoyed joking around, much to the embarrassment of his sister. In his younger days he loved to go fishing. After retirement he liked spending time watching LSU and Saints games while enjoying several Miller Lites.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 1 Rectory Lane, Hahnville, LA, on January 28, 2026, at 9AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11AM. Inurnment will take place in the mausoleum at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Taft, LA.
