Robert H. Sams

Robert Henry Sams passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in Laplace, LA.

Beloved husband of the late Kathleen Waguespack Sams.

He was the father and father-in-law of Virginia Sams Riecke and William E. Riecke, Jr.

Grandfather of William E. Riecke, III and wife Susan and Christopher Riecke and wife Dawn.

Great grandfather of Gabrielle and Austin Riecke.

Brother of Dorene Mathey and the late Lillian Lasley, Harold Sams and Walter Sams.

Robert was born on November 13, 1924 in Alliance, Ohio, the son of Ralph Weldin Sams and Fern Oatley Ladd, and was a resident of New Sarpy, LA for over 50 years. He was a proud US Army veteran of WWII and a member of the American Legion and VFW Post 3337.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services from the parlor of H. C. Alexander Funeral Home, 821 Fourth Street, Norco, LA on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Cemetery, Destrehan, LA
