Cotton served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of the American Legion post 195. He retired from Shell Oil Co.
He is survived by one sister, Hazel Weimer Anderson of LaPlace. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces and nephews, Godchild, Paula Mire, her brothers, Jay and David, and their mother Josie.
He is preceded in death by his siblings; Joseph Weimer, Lucille “Piggy”Lambert, Mary Gertrude “Gertie” Walters, Ray Weimer, Albert Weimer, Norma Vial, and John “Yut” Weimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Norco, LA on Friday, September 9, 2016 beginning at 9 AM, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM.
