

Sterling Paul Zeringue, 84, a prominent business owner, loving husband, proud dad, and fun-loving grandpa and great grandpa, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded in spirit by the family he cherished above all else on December 1, 2025.
Born with a quick smile and an easy laugh, Sterling brought joy wherever he went. In 1963, he and his brother Roy laid the foundation for Zeringue’s Plumbing, a business built on hard work, trust, and the kind of good humor that turns customers into lifelong friends.
He was the beloved husband of 62 years of Sharon Falgoust Zeringue. Father of Kay Z Carter (Troy), David P Zeringue (Angela), Debbie Z Robicheaux (Shawn), Michael T Zeringue (Therese), and Matthew C Zeringue (Amelie). Proud grandfather of Ashley, Austin, and Mason Carter, Wesley and Dylan (Chloe) Zeringue, Lauren R Pender (Matt), Erin R Brunson (Ethan), Gwen R Burch (Landon), Amelie and Alyse Gautreaux, Quinn and Ceci Zeringue, and great-grandchild, Nora Brunson. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Mary Jane Zeringue (Roy), and brothers-in-law, Michael (JoAnn) and Glenn Falgoust, and a host of nieces, nephews, and family members.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Toussaint and Gertrude Troxclair Zeringue and siblings Enola Trosclair, Carl, Roy, Melvin, and Curtis Zeringue.
Sterling enjoyed hunting, fishing, shrimping and spending time with family and friends at his camps in Grand Isle, LA and Mills Farm in Woodville, MS. He especially took great pleasure in cooking “Thursday Night Supper” in the Club House for all his “podnas”.
Sterling will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 401 Spruce St. Norco, LA, on Friday, December 5, 2025. Visitation will begin at 9AM with Mass at 11AM. Interment to follow at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, 13396 River Rd. Destrehan, LA. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cause close to your heart.
