Antonio Enriquez Sabile, Jr.

Antonio Enriquez Sabile Jr., age 86, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. He was born in the Philippines to the late Antonio, Sr. and Gliceria Enriquez Sabile. Antonio proudly served in the United States Navy earning the rank of Senior Chief before his retirement. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren telling funny stories, sharing his life experiences, and offering advice. Antonio was an avid coin collector, loved to spend many hours in his garden, and enjoyed cheering on his Boston Celtics. He loved to play mahjong with his “homeboys” and friends. But most of all, he loved spending time with Josefina, his brothers, and sister and the entire extended family.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Josefina; children, Joann (Michael) and Butch (Jennifer); grandchildren Alex, Justin, Josephine, Avery, Anthony Jr. and Cameron ; siblings, Pacifico (Mercy), Eduardo (Elvira), and Aurora (Bartholomew); and a host of other family and friends.

A Novena prayer service for Antonio will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 4:00 PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk. The family invites friends for a time of visitation following novena from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will occur Monday, January 20, 2025 at 11:00 AM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 5345 Virginia Beach Blvd., Virginia Beach. He will be laid to rest at a committal service to begin at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 20, 2025 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk.
