Barbara White Jenkins

Born in Norfolk County she was a lifelong resident of Norfolk occupying the family home for over 56 years until moving in with her son.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Jenkins and daughter, Phyllis King.

Left to cherish her memory are son, Michael Jenkins; granddaughter, Michele Smith (Andrew); grandson, Keneth King (Melissa); and great granddaughters, Kaelynn and Leeanna Smith.

Her interest in life were family and friends with special thoughts to the great granddaughters who renewed her vigor for life.

A special thanks to the people at Sentara Leigh Hospital for allowing her to volunteer her services for over 25 years only stopping because COVID suspended the opportunity.

Barbara was a long time and active member of Ferebee-Halstead United Methodist Church. She served on many committees and was active until its closure. She then transferred her membership to Aldersgate United Methodist Church where there will be a memorial service Monday, April 4 at 11am.
