Benigno A. Mosteirin went to be with the Lord on the morning of July 30th, 2023, surrounded by his wife Isabel Mosteirin, three children and two grandchildren. Benigno is preceded in death by his parents Martha Mosteirin and Benigno A. Mosteirin. Born in Cuba 1953, Ben was the oldest of two children. He moved to New York and after high school, he enlisted in the Navy and served 21 years. During his time in the Navy, he earned his Bachelor of Science from The University of the State of New York. He was also a volunteer for Nauticus Museum in Norfolk and Pearson where he traveled to various schools educating young children on History and Math.
Left to cherish his beautiful memory is his beloved wife, Isabel Mosteirin; children Monica Gilbert, David Mosteirin, Sarah Mosteirin, Maria Mosteirin-Ramirez, and Jose Ramirez; grandchildren Mercedes Garcia, Jaime Garcia, and Jacob Sawning and his brother Mario Mosteirin. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital in honor of Benigno.
Benigno’s Mass of the Resurrection will be held this Thursday, August 3rd at 11:00 am at St. Pius X Catholic Church. Please join Benigno’s family and friends in the celebration of his life.
