Brenda Joyce Metz

On August 12, 2012 Brenda Metz ended her long and valiant battle with cancer and entered her time of peace with her Savior. Brenda was born in Morgantown West Virginia but, made her home with her husband Richard in the Tidewater area. Brenda was a faithful Christian, the former president of Christian Women’s Aglow and a dedicated wife and mother. Her gentle and generous spirit touched and influenced many lives for the cause of Christ, all those that met her were no doubt enriched by the experience. She attended Harvest Assembly of God in Chesapeake and later Glad Tidings in Norfolk until illness slowed her activities.

Brenda is preceded in passing by her eldest son Richard Allen Metz Jr. She is survived by her husband, of 55 years, Richard Metz of Virginia Beach, her son David Metz his wife Kim of Gates County NC, son Brian Metz his wife Terry of Moyock, NC, daughter Felecia Booth her husband James of Virginia Beach, son Kevin Metz wife Jana of Virginia Beach, and eight grand children.

The family will receive friends for visitation Wednesday evening, August 15, 2012, from 7 - 9 pm and a memorial service will be held on August 16, 2012, at 12 pm.
