Charles R. Saunders,

Charles "Chuck" Saunders III, 71, passed away Sunday, November 27, at Norfolk General Hospital. He attended Norfolk State University where he was a member of the ROTC, he was affiliated with the National Society of Pershing Rifles, and was affiliated with Cedars of Lebanon Seventh Day Adventist Church. Chuck was a veteran of the United States Army, loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids and gardening.

Chuck is survived by his wife Theresa Gilman-Saunders; sons Randall A. Saunders (Barbara) of Virginia Beach, Brian S. Saunders of Norfolk, Corey L. Saunders of Chesapeake, Reginald Johnson (Benita) of Norfolk, daughter Robin C. DiBuono (Tom) of Virginia Beach; grandchildren Brian, Julien, Ashley, Jailynn Saunders, Kristin, Tommy, Carly DiBuono, Tamera Carmon, Kyara Brisbane and Quran Simmons; great-grandchild Kayden Ward; brothers Michael Antonio Saunders (Donna) and Warren Outlaw; sister Janie Gordon; nephews Jauron Dailey, Stephen Reynolds (Cindy) and Michael Antonio Saunders, Jr.; mother-in-law Evelyn Shue and brother-in-law John Alan Reynolds (Fay).

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Friday, December 2nd, with a memorial service immediately following in Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd. Norfolk.
